FUTURES.

So I realized I've never done a whole post on the greatness that is FUTURES Antiques. First off the owner, Ronn Ives, is amazing. He really knows about the stuff he sells, and isn't in it for the buck. Also, his store is mostly 30s thru 70s. Come on, how great is that. His store is packed full of treasures, you could spend hours there and still miss half of what he's got. Plus Ronn is just an all around great guy. That store is probably the only thing I'll miss around here when we move. My husband has a love hate relationship with the place. He loves the great stuff Ronn's got, he hates how much I spend there. So get your but over to the FUTURES website, you won't be dissappointed.

Thanks for the link to Futures. I'll be spending hours on there. I just took a brief look...my heart almost stopped when I saw the Fiesta tumblers!

Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment. I do collect fiestaware. I just started blogging a week or so ago. My first blog has a picture of my open kitchen cupboards with my fiesta in it. They are the dishes we eat off of everyday. My mother actually started collecting it for me about 30 years ago...Gosh I'm getting old. But hey, I'll never be as old as my fiestaware!! So I've got that going for me. You won't see any tumblers in my cupboard..I wish!! Thanks again.

Hi,
Ronn of FUTURES here. Yeh, I just acquired that original set of Fiesta tumblers. I used the 1998 price guide. It's good enough for me. I'm also cleaning up some "daily users" that already have a little damage, for those who get paranoid about using perfect things (I just don't put them out on display). If you have any questions, please ask. I love this stuff. That's all there is to it.

Thanks Brook. I didn't build the cupboards but I striped them. I think I spent a year doing it. At some point I'll have take a pic of the actual cupboards and post it. They are full wall built-in's. I thought they were pretty cool...one of the things that attracted me to this beautiful house in this god forsaken town...so don't be too jealous! The cupboards are in shitsville!! I'm on my way out, but I'll have to get back to Ronn..I see his fiest post. And I still need to go over and check out your other blog.
