My parents are watching Hunter overnight, so Derek and I went to a couple antique malls and thrift stores that we can't go to with the baby. I found a cheap pyrex bowl, two melmac dish sets, and a couple other things.

As promised, here are a couple scans from my Better Homes and Gardens Decorating Book (1956). The First three I am going to show you are my favorite rooms in the book. Notice the wonderful usage of my three favorite colors: pink, white, and red. I love how they accent each other, and make any room look a little sweeter. Don't you just love that pink tile??

A lot of people around here really want the "primitive antique" stuff, so melmac and pyrex just sits on the shelves!

I sure DO love the pink tile! Our circa 1940 bathroom has blue fixtures (tub, toilet, sink) and pink tile on the floor, covering the entire shower stall , and halfway up the wall. I love vintage bathrooms!
